湖南信息学院是由中华人民共和国教育部批准设立的本科大学，隶属湖南省人民政府管理，位于中国历史文化名城长沙，坐落于国务院原总理朱镕基的家乡——国家级长沙经济技术开发区毛塘工业园。学校下设计算机科学与技术学院、电子信息学院、管理学院、国际商学院、艺术学院、通识教育学院、马克思主义学院、创新创业学院、继续教育学院、信息技术研究院等10个学院，开设工学、管理学、经济学、艺术学、文学等学科门类，30余个专业，现有在校学生15000余人。

School Profile
Hunan University of Information Technology (HNUIT) is an undergraduate university approved by Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China and is under the administration of People’s Government of Hunan Province. Being located in Maotang Industrial Park, Changsha State-level Economic and Technological Development Zone (ETDZ), which is the hometown of Zhu Rongji, Former Premier of the State Council, the campus of HNUIT enjoys a favorable geographical location and convenient access to all destinations. HNUIT consists of ten schools of Computer Science and Technology, Electronic Information, Management, International Business, Arts, General Education, Marxism, Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Further Education and Information Technology Studies. The university sets up a variety of disciplines including Engineering, Management, Economics, Arts, Literature etc., and it offers over 30 full-time programs of undergraduate degree and associate degree programs. Until now, there are about 15,000 full-time enlisted students in HNUIT.

School Conditions:
HNUIT campus have a beautiful and picturesque scenery, featured with five lakes, five gardens, five bridges and five squares shaded by trees, surrounded by mountains and lakes, pavilions and platforms, as well as flourishing woods and tall bamboo bushes, which shows beautiful scenery and reveals a particular campus culture everywhere and influences students all the time. Therefore, it is renowned as “one of the most beautiful universities in China”. The student apartments are warm and homelike with advanced living facilities, revealing the idea of environmental protection, which are hailed as “one of the most comfortable student apartments in Chinese universities”. The modern library is rich in various resources. Faculty and Staff:
Based on the requirements of realizing “elitism of the management team, professionalization of the teaching team and specialization of the service team”, HNUIT has established a “high-level talent teaching team” represented by professors and doctors, an “overseas-talent teaching team” represented by overseas returned talents, and a “practical teaching team” represented by enterprise executives and senior technical personnel. Moreover, it has established a five-level evaluation system for teacher’s teaching ability, and constructed a diversified remuneration system for faculty and staff and built the subsidy system for special talents such as “HNUIT Scholars” and “Chief Experts”, which provides a solid foundation for the construction of a high-quality, high-level, innovative and applied teaching staff with noble ethics, exquisite workmanship and reasonable structure.
Sharing Mechanism:
Adhering firmly to the principle of sharing development achievements with teachers and students, HNUIT has opened a free preschool education affiliated kindergarten for the children of the faculty and staff, which is pioneering among Chinese universities. It has provided faculty and staff with free, self-contained, well-decorated teacher’s apartments and built a free holiday base in Hainan for excellent faculty and experts.
